Marcher!

If it's your first time to experience Métro Abbesses, then by all means march right up the zillion steps to the very top. Along the way you will be delighted to have many colorful murals to amuse you while you draw your (last?) breath.  On the other hand, if you've been there and done that, take the lift IF it's working.

  1. I think I would need a colourful diversion to assist my ascent V.

  3. I avoid Metro Chatelet like the plague, now I see I should add this one as well. (From your comment, it seems that the lift has a history of not working.)

  6. The lift seems to be a pretty sensible alternative altho I'd miss the joy of the visuals.

  7. At least you have something to look at on the stairs other than blank wall. Pretty.

  10. Ouf! Worth trudging up these stairs once, anyway—with a camera in hand. From then on, you can hope for a functioning elevator!

  12. It's been a while since I've walked up those steps but I knew it was Abbesses the moment I saw it.

Malyss is right it's definitely Michou. I'll take all wagers. ;-)

  15. I remember that climb from the days when I could walk up. It is one of the most attractive mètro stations.
