Today, we return to Paris from the countryside. For you Paris lovers I offer... the Café St. Regis. It has recently been sold and remodeled. I was a bit disappointed to hear from the waiter that all that looks "vintage" is faux. It is still a great photo op and we had a nice dinner there our last night.
Café St. Regis
6 rue Jean du Bally, Île St. Louis
75004 Paris
Des bistrots authentiques dans l'ile St Louis, c'est aussi rare que de vrais peintres place du tertre.
ReplyDeleteI guess they weren't expecting a crowd.
ReplyDeleteUn cappuccino, s'il vous plaît!
ReplyDeleteLéia
Wonderful composition (faux or not)!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh :/
ReplyDeleteI love that place and I have taken umpteen photos (and yes one similar to yours... as usual!)
This is a disappointment to me too - but I still look forward to another visit - I wanna see for myself what has changed and what not.
Lovely compo, V!
Looks like GOOD vintage, and yes, it's disappointing but still... wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe real thing is better, but you have to give them credit for well-done "faux." Bon weekend, V!
ReplyDeleteDon't care if it's faux, it's pretty and it's Paris.
ReplyDeleteI'd have been disappointed too..
ReplyDeleteSeems like the perfct place for a petit déjeuner.
ReplyDeleteI just love this photograph - faux and all!
ReplyDeleteThey've done a pretty realistic job here Virginia..if you didn't know oui! Still looks like a great spot to people watch.
ReplyDeleteIt is certainly great looking faux.
ReplyDeleteI like this corner.
ReplyDeleteAnd I could easily have spent time there.
