Le ciel rose

When I tried to warm up this gray photo, look what happened.  I"m not a fan of really souped up images but I thought this brought out the pink in sky at sunset.

  2. It's beautiful, a slight shame that it isn't natural.

  3. Virginia; there is nothing wrong with a pink hue - I love it! :)

  4. It is a happy accident. :) And you probably know that quote that Ansel Adams said that 50% of his imagery were created in the darkroom...

    Bon Weekend!

  6. I think it looks lovely! You've taken an already great photo and simply put a little blush on her! Even Mama approves of a tiny bit of blush.

  7. Beautiful! I'm playing with colours at the minute and will do a whole week of it next week :)

  9. I've been playing a bit with free photo online software for fun and have been posting them to my FB page. Overall, I go for the "full photo" but it is fun to play with the techniques. takes away the journalism/documentary form of the photo and extends the art which is sometimes good and sometimes not.

In this case, it's a hit! The skylight is just beautiful and I really do love it.

  10. You know I'm a huge fan of color, but a pink sky is a bit much.

  11. Gorgeous!
Love your book via Blurb as well. I have been thinking of creating my own book both photography and a travel chapbook.
How was your experience with them?

  13. I used to have some sunglasses with dark brown lenses. Everything looked warm and pinkish yellow. I thought the world looked great in those days!
