Place de la Concorde's obelisk with the Grande Roue de la Concordein the background, decked out for Christmas. It went up 16 novembre and will come down 13 janvier. Prix 10 euro, and worth it for the views of Paris from above.

V, I have been thinking about you since I first heard about the school shooting in Connecticut and I remembered that you were a former elementary school teacher. I know how this must have hit home for you. Such a tragic and senseless act!

Nice shot! No wonder I've never seen it while I was in Paris. I've always gone just after it comes down or I leave Paris just before it goes up. :-(
