The American Cathedral in Paris welcomes visitors each Sunday by serving cookies and coffee in the back of the sanctuary following the church service. I've worshipped there on two occasions and and always enjoyed the service and getting to meet the members and clergy.
Today I join James' Weekend Reflections right
here!
Looks like a beautiful sanctuary, dear Virginia!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by chez moi...
Bises and wishes for a splendid Sunday!

Those pipes look like they communicate directly with God. Very majestic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Great eye for catching that reflection!

ReplyDeleteA beautiful interior.

I think the flags do add a lot. They bring the colors of the stained glass throughout the sanctuary. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAn American Cathedral in Paris?!?!? Where? Why?
ReplyDeleteJack, Avenue George V. Why , because there are lots of expats in Paris that like to worship here, not to mention tourists like me that love hearing a sermon en anglais! I even heard Olivia de Haviland read the Scripture one Sunday.

ReplyDeleteWow, that is so beautiful. I love the music that welcomes people to the blog. I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful place! I hope I remember to check this place out next time I'm in Paris.
ReplyDelete«Louis» is pleased to see that you posted this photo of the interior. He was never able to get to the church when it was open, so he has only seen it from the outside.
ReplyDeleteLouis,
ReplyDeleteYou must go for services when you're in Paris again.
James,

How lovely. I've visited this church but never for a service. I can imagine it would be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the smiles of the "personnel" and the coffee and cookies really add to the atmosphere! :-)
