Early evening I was doing a walking photography tour on the Île Saint-Louis with Meredith Mullins. We stopped to look over the wall and this is what we found. We debated about the wrapper on the bench and Meredith offered to run down and move it, but we decided the moment would be lost. To quote Meredith's wonderful book....another Paris Moment!
All it would take is a little Photoshop and -- voila! -- it would be gone. I like the composition and wouldn't have had a problem with the wrapper if you didn't mention it.

Sandra,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment. Actually the wrapper was shiny and distracting but in BW it does seem to belong there. I'm pleased you liked it. It's one of those "finds" you only seen in Paris I think. J'adore!!

A poetic image! :)

Keep the bottle, lose the wrapper. Or let it be, since this particular Paris moment that you captured so well did include these two elements, after all.
ReplyDeleteIf I could write well, I'd want to create a story around this photo.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever find out if both belonged to l'homme?
ReplyDeleteWOW! this is another amazing shot! It's like a movie still. Its SO moody! It so reminds me of one of those arty French films!! LOVE it!! especially the wrapper! makes it true.
