If you have the time while in Paris, put the Bois de Boulogne on your list. This lovely little lake was full of Parisians paddling canoes this Sunday afternoon. The restaurant, Le Chalet des Iles, looks very charming for another trip perhaps.
I have been out that way many times but never to the lake...I have now added it to my 'must do' list!!! See, it doesn't matter how many times one visits Paris, there is always something new to be found....thank you!
Oh this looks like a wonderful place. Over 50 years ago we went camping in de Bois de Boulogne. I don't suppose the camping will still be there. Have a nice Sunday
What a crisp, beautiful photo! I haven't been there, but hope to one of these days. Loving the music. So many songs from the movie, Quand j'etais chanteur, which were actually sung by Gerard Depardieu. A soundtrack worth getting.
This delightful picture reminds me of the north eastern region of France - just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBonne semaine

At first glance, I thought you had gone to Switzerland.
ReplyDeleteWere you out there paddling?
ReplyDeleteThis little chalet looks like it is Dutch or German!!! The scalloped roof line just doesn't look French to me!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming place!
ReplyDeleteOh, an unexpected little chalet! Going on my list now...merci, chere Virginia!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful spot...

Beautiful photo! I had never heard of this lake. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have been to the Bois du Boulogne, but apparently not to this part. It is a very un-Parislike scene. BUT, a pretty one.
ReplyDeleteThis restaurant must be a great place to dine! I like this kind of places by lakes...
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

Boy, it makes me want to have a drink of rosé outside. Here it is pouring rain right now.
