L'opéra Restaurant

Architect Odile Decq has done a masterful job of nestling this contemporary restaurant inside the opulent
Opéra Garnier, without missing a beat.  No, I've not dined there, but pressed my nose and lens against the gate and gazed longingly.  I've included the menu as best I could shoot it. I think for a nice splurge in Paris, this might be my place of choice.

  1. Bonsoir V. I had not heard about this new restaurant. I may stop by for a drink next month. Merci pour le tuyau! :-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle) PS: Love les chaises... rouges, bien sûr!

  6. Virgina-

I wonder if that restaurant is nestled in that portion of L'Opera
that was the unfinished Royal Entrance?
    Have you seen that entrance?

Does anyone know the answer to that question?

I'm heading to Paris in October! I can't wait.

  7. Roseann,
I"m afraid I can't answer that but can only add that if you are stand in front of the opera, the resto is on the right, near the gift shop.

Have a bon voyage in October!

I see many of you are admiring the rouge tables and chairs. I regret to have to share that they are more of a red/orange color!!

  14. The colorful tables and chairs are okay, but the gates and the glass are gorgeous! I'll just have the caviar, merci—and a glass of Champagne, of course. Cheers, V!

  15. Another gorgeous Paris en Rouge. Fantastic solution and space. Next time I'll press my nose and lens against the glass at least.

  18. Gee, Virginia, I don't know. The building itself is gorgeous, but I don't see modern red chairs and tables here . . . It is too extreme for me in this exquisite setting.
