Mary, Peter and I were in a hurry that morning so there wasn't time for Peter to push the doors to see if we could get inside and have a closer look. Quelle dommage!
The image on your blog header {woman gazing out over the Paris vista} makes me want to jump on the next plane and visit again. I remember standing and drinking in the view like this and feeling like I had just arrived in heaven.
Oh my, how wonderful to be in Paris in the spring! I was in Paris in 1967. My wife wants desperately to visit Paris. When I would see movies or TV shows with views of Paris I would always say" I've been there". Now when we see pictures of Paris, before I say anything, she says, "I know, you've been there!", then her eyes tear up.
I would love to sneak into this passage/courtyard!!
ReplyDeleteDonc, ma chère il faut y retourner...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous

ReplyDeleteLovely gate...I like the rooster!
ReplyDeleteAnd you never went back?
ReplyDeleteBut you got a good shot anyway, V. Such a pretty gate and charming courtyard.
ReplyDeleteClever eyes indeed, the coq is a beautiful detail in this entrance!

Starman, you know how our days are in Paris, no time to retrace steps. Places to go, people to meet, wine to be sipped!!!
