If you've never strolled the small streets of
Butte aux Cailles in the 13th arrondissement, you really should put it on your list. It is most charming and many of the homes are more like townhouses with small gated front entrances. The flowers and vines are climbing over the fences, gates and lanterns with wild abandon. I posted another lovely doorway
here.
Simply BEAUTIFUL!! I have the Butte aux Cailles already on my list!
ReplyDeleteAnd in that wonderful crimson red shade that suits Paris so well .... a charming capture.

I need to get out of my comfort zone. I seem to stay in a tight circle of arrondissements 1-10.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous image Virginia! So pretty! I love to see roses growing with wild abandon ~ a la natural.
ReplyDeleteLovely image, We did, not many tourists up there...
ReplyDeleteYou already know the 13th is one of our favorites.
ReplyDeleteBack in the day (when even a poor kid like me could afford to live in St. Germain), the 13th was like the suburbs and no one ever went there. Now I'd be beyond thrilled to be able to live in a charming place like this.
ReplyDeleteOh i would love to live somewhere like this. I love these townhouses with the gated entrances. Reminds me of the gorgeous brownstones!
ReplyDeleteExquisite indeed! I want to live there!
ReplyDeleteI love this area of Paris... Great shot!
ReplyDeleteLet's buy a place here! Love the flowers (and the houses)!
