Colette, a very trendy shop, was close to our apartment. Mary and I stopped in so that I could catch a few photos. "Non Madame!" Well, les toilettes was very funky and fun, so Mary and I snapped a few when no one was watching!
I adore this fun photograph of you and Mary, and one can see the two of you must have loads of fun together! I bought something at Colette...just to get one of their blue and white carrier bags...because it is my name after all!! I used the exact same font on my business card..but in pale pink and white..turned out lovely. have fun Colette ~ Afrique du Sud
I wonder why it is that some shop people are so afraid to let someone take a photo? Maybe they think you're trying to steal their soul? Or the secrets of their wares?
Hello Virgina...thank you for stopping by~ I hope you can come visit us in Burgundy one day and see it through your lens too! I am your newest follower!
Mary's little compact is much easier for sneaking forbidden snaps. That is why I usually carry a little guy along with the big bazooka. I have never been in a ladies' room with Mary and you before. I am blushing.
Jack, I had the little guy ( 50mm prime) on here. The big bazooka is what gets me in trouble. I have a whole series I might just name "Through the Window". I had so many times I couldn't get the shot inside for one reason or another, so I was forced to press the lens on the window and have at it. Next trip to Paris, you just come on along and join us in Colette. BTW, there are many toilettes in paris where the men and women are ........sort of close. I"m getting more at ease with that but I draw the line on some facilities . You can figure that out.
Their website is funky and fun too, V, so we'll give them top marks for consistency. You and Mary fit in with the vibe beautifully.
ReplyDeleteLove this. And yes I often get that response too in posh shops.
