This might be my candidate for Favorite Fenêtre Française from my last trip. As we walked to Le Reminet on rue Grands Degrés, this caught my eye. Even on a cold January day, it had that certain je ne sais quoi!
I had more success duplicating those quintessential Parisian windowboxes filled with red geraniums when I lived in New York. It's much harder in the South!
I never tire of seeing photos of the gorgeous French windows and I certainly NEVER tire of taking photos of them also. I love what you have been showing us!!!
Beautiful shot and reflection. I see why it is your favorite Fenetre. How are they keeping flowers blooming in the dead cold of winter? Our flower pots outside are hibernating.

I have always loved these old french doors with the rod iron railing! This is so beautiful!! On another note I received my beautiful Annie Poon drawing today!!!! OH I love it V...it is fantastic!!! Love this type of art. My 12yr old son loves it as well. He commented right away how you don't see alot of this type of drawings in marker. I can't wait to show it off! Thank you again!!! Pamela xo
Je ne sais quoi? C'est parfait. That's what it is. My first trip to France resulted in hundreds of photos of flowery windows, mostly from the countrside. I thought of selling them for a calendar. This was before we could do that easily on the web!
Jack, I HATE the new Google WV as well. Last week I took it off here to see what would happen. I had so many Anonymous spam comments in my Junk mail I had to put it back on. I'm sorry. It makes me crazy on other blogs and I dislike making it hard to comment here but don't have a choice for now. Thanks for continuing to leave your witty, thoughtful comments! V
