Yesterday I had a little puzzle for you and the winner is..........Veronique ( French Girl in Seattle), who correctly guessed that I was sitting on the steps of the Panthéon when I took the photograph. Thank you all for joining in the fun. Wayne so kindly pointed out that there seemed to be no prize and I gently reminded him that the personal satisfaction of winning was worth far more than un petit cadeau!

Bienvenue à Ladurée!

How much do they sell those NewYorkais macarons, I wonder? $5 a piece? More? I think I will still order New York cheesecake with black coffee next time I visit the East Coast ;-) -- Veronique
ReplyDeleteAmerican people and macarons! You make me smile, you greedy ones! :o)
ReplyDeleteNothing can compare to a visit to Laduree on The Champs Elysee...Oh to be there again!
ReplyDeleteI agree....eating is about the WHOLE experience!
ReplyDeleteà Milan (Italie) aussi!
ReplyDeleteI see you, V, but who is that cute guy with you? Miam-miam (for the macarons)!
ReplyDeleteOh, bring it ON!!!!!!!!!! Anita
ReplyDeleteLove the gorgeous colours of these macaroons. Perfect shot!
ReplyDeleteDon't those macarons just make you happy! I found a tea shop in Orange County (Paris in a Cup) that makes them... i'm hooked! Now my 'dream trip' back to France will have to include a visit to Laduree!
ReplyDeleteMiam, V! I was at the Ladurée New York store the day they opened. Bought 6, all the same flavor (my absolute dead fave, caramel au beurre salé). Veronique -- don't remember the exact price, but they were under $3 apiece.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind seeing that on our front door! :^)
ReplyDeleteMacarons becoming popular in KL, but expensive !
ReplyDeleteGenie, Monsieur was inside the store and about to come out. :)
ReplyDeleteLe macaron in all its glory! Definitely deserving of all this fancy artwork.
