Enjoying this beautiful summer day in the Place des Vosges. I smiled when I saw them. They reminded me of this photo. This group seems a bit friendlier!
Do you think they are tourists or Parisiens? I can't decide.
J'aime les cinq dames. They must be friends. Similar hairstyles. Similar sunglasses, but very different shoes ;-) -- Great shot V. I do not think they noticed the camera... What is in the plastic bag in the foreground? Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
great shot ! I am a fan of people on the streets (and benches) photography. These girls look like they belong together. I prefer this shot to the previous one...I think probably mainly because it is taken from closer by, not necessarily bc they are friendlier they look tired and in need of their break from walking all over Paris (with the exception of the lady to the right) that is what the shoes seem to tell us.
I agree with Daryl. Friends, definitely. Similar hairstyles. Similar sunglasses. Similar body language... but very different shoes. Great shot, Virginia. They did not notice the camera it seems. I thought I had left a message last night, but I must have done something wrong... Sorry for the duplicate post if there is one. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Love the way they all fit so nicely on one bench! I might have said that the ones on either end are not French—just because one is wearing jeans and the other has white sneakers. :~}
I agree that they all look like great long time friends, but whether they be Parisians or American tourists is hard to tell, I think I'm going to go with American tourists. It's a fabulous shot anyway Virginia.

ReplyDeleteThese friends made me smile as did the sweet music that played. I too noticed the shoes. It was a good day.

ReplyDeleteWell, I only see one scarf and a pair of (good grief) white sneakers.
ReplyDeleteI hope they're not talking about me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a photo! I'd love to know more about them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a chummy group - I'd say tourist Virginia! - possibly European - they've been here before many times - they're comfortable in this big city.
ReplyDeleteLove love your "people shots" I was there yesterday!
