Le couturier II

You have met Alexis several times here on this blog, as I've photographed  his studio at Place des Vosges as often as I can find it open.  Today another view of one of his gowns with the designer himself in the background.  Alexis was gracious enough to allow me to stop in and photograph his creations on several occasions but remained a bit in the background.  I think this photos illustrates that.

  4. Maybe the words, "remained in the background" is a bit misleading. Ignored me is more like it! :)

  5. Gorgeous, V! I see that Alexis saves all the embellishments for his romantic gowns. A "uniform" of jeans and white T-shirt would definitely make it easy to get dressed every day

  8. Lovely. I watched my daughter try on some wedding gowns in August but those pix won't find their way onto my blog.

  10. There´s nothing Parisian about M. Le Couturier´s iconic white T-shirt and Lee 101 jeans, immortalized by James Dean.

I´m sure he was not ignoring you, Madame. How could he?

In retail business, it is wise to let the costumer think one is not so eager for a sale.

That beautiful dress looks "vaporoso" enough for a debutante.

    Beautiful post Mme. Virginia.

    ¡Mil gracias!
