Love Canal st Martin. The Canal boat cruise is one of my favorite things to do in Paris (on a sunny day, bien sûr) -- Lovely shot. Beautiful light. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Artist will always be drawn to Paris for inspiration I think, from the little peek of this artists work when you pull the image right in, Paris is working it's magic. You've captured him well Virginia.
Good place for a stroll on a nice day... have you ever stopped in the Hotel du Nord along the canal for a drink ? They were doing concerts for a while, some excellent talent performed there from time to time, people like Bruce Cockburn or Loudon Wainwright, and other well known musicians... another Paris treasure...

ReplyDeleteWonderful, V! You were close enough to see his sketch and it looks as if he did not even mind. You captured his intense focus and steady hand.
ReplyDeleteHe looks very cool! And I see it's true, spots and polka dots really are 'in' at the moment.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful portrait of that artist and his sketch! We had a blind painting friend over for dinner last night - she's our adopted "Auntie Annie!"
ReplyDeleteOh, to see that Paris still attracts artists and lovers!!!!! Anita
