What a gorgeous shot Virginia, the carrousel looks very elegant and with Le Eiffel in the background as the finishing touch, perfect! I think the M M below would be much more romantic.. like Mirielle et Matheau, together forever!!
It would be fun to ride the carrousel horses and come around and around, again and again to view the Eiffel Tower view! Did you ride the carrousel, V?!
When we were living in Paris, and then in Issy les Moulineaux, we used to take the girls there, we all loved that carousel, and you are so right about the view, what's not to like about having the Eiffel Tower hanging around for a backdrop... When I was living in Paris as a student years ago, the window of my "chambre de bonne" framed the tower, could see it by all the different lights... that was heaven.
And would love to see you in January if you will be here then...

I love this carousel,too! And the one at the foot of the Sacre-Coeur is perfect for photos like this as well.
