Taken from high atop the
Centre Georges Pompidou (through the glass), a view of the
Église Saint-Eustache that one doesn't normally see. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for identifying this lovely Paris church, which geographically is a lot farther away than it appears.
Clever you - the church peeking out of that gorgeous sea of Parisian rooftops ---takes my breath away. x

ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING IN PARIS IS FARTHER AWAY THAN IT APPEARS! We were there for 14 juillet celebration at the Eiffel Tower. Our lodging was in the Latin Quarter. We thought, "We'll just walk back." TWO HOURS LATER, we flopped with our baguettes on the bed, ate, and slept. WOW! Anita

ReplyDeleteIt's not that far. A Frenchman once told me that checking Saint-Eustache was a waste of time. I was really glad I didn't take his advice.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing I love in the Centre Pompidou: it offers a fantastic view over the roofs of the city. And , who knows why, Paris roofs are marvellous!
