I knew you all would love this photograph. Wonderful day in paris. Peter and I had been to the Musée Marmottan Monet to see the Yann Arthus- Bertrand exhibit of his fabulous Paris From Above photos. I asked where the boats were taken from. Peter said the Bois de Bologne and we were able to walk from there. Another Paris moment pour moi.
"Maman les p'tits bateaux qui vont sur l'eau ont-ils des jambes ?... mais oui petit nigaud, s'ils n'en avaient pas ils n'avanceraient pas..." Très belles photos qui font agréablement rêver... Gros bisous.
We went for a "sail" on on of those little rowing boats a few years back my GF was petrified the whole time we would capsize sooo funny! but we had a pic nic and bottle of wine which helped calm her nerves if only a little. A great day indeed. Great photo thanks

ReplyDeleteExcellent composition!
ReplyDeleteI think we would call them 'barques' rather than 'chaloupes' which are used for tenders/life boats on big liners.
Great composition and wonderful colours, I like this image!
