I realize that Paris could use some much needed rain right now, but you'll have to excuse my enthusiasm for a day when la tour is bathed in sunshine against a gorgeous blue sky. It doesn't happen all that often when I'm there. ( Yes, I know if I went at better times of the year my chances would improve!)
Love it Virginia, can just see peeks of greenery from the eatery on the first level. The sky looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the new title pic.
ReplyDeleteShe´s sooooo beautiful! Great sky! I love the new title picture! It´s sooo Paris!
ReplyDeleteAh! La Tour is always elegant and beautiful but on a clear day with the back-drop of blue skies with her lacey columns reaching up into that azure blue - well! that is pure magic. Can you imagine Paris without her?
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to go past that view, Virginia. And I love your new blog header, too. The way you've placed the wording. And the colour of the wording. And... the pastry.
ReplyDeleteThe sky seems to have adapted to ths shape of Tower! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe formation of the cloudscapes form a good composition !
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, she's such a beauty! C'est formidable!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Peter. Looks like the tower is altering the weather. Great shot...and your new header is fab!
ReplyDeleteThe Tower looks terrific from any angle in any weather at any time of day. Aren't you glad that they abandoned the original plan to remove it after the fair?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like my header photo. This was taken at Janeen's fabulous flat where we stayed last January. I thought the cups were fun and of course the pain au chocolat divine !:)
ReplyDeleteI agree that la Tour IS Paris. I never tire of standing beneath her and looking up. :

ReplyDeleteDo you know I went to Paris three times before I visited la Tour. This shot is magnifique.
ReplyDeleteI love the new banner!
ReplyDeletethis is exactly Paris!
ReplyDeleteI love how the clouds gather around la tour, more at the top.
Also, thank you for your appreciations ;)
The tour is always a treat, even without such a sky as backdrop—but with it?! Oh la la, ma chere! (And I love your new header too.)
ReplyDeleteLove the clouds behind La Tour!!! A perfect setting for her! And I love the new header too!!
ReplyDeleteHi Virginia,
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely to discover your blog and many thanks for visiting me.
Your photographs are wonderful and isn't the Eiffel tower such a magnificent structure.
Happy week
Carolyn
I love your new header photo. About visiting at better times of the year - after much internal debate, I just opted for a cheaper November stay instead of a pricy good-weather trip in September.
ReplyDeleteParis!!! Thanks for sharing this photo. It is my dream to travel to Europe for my 50th birthday. This photo shows me what I will me missing if I don't go!
