It's a real beauty! (the aluminum door handle notwithstanding). Thought of you yesterday, V, when I discovered that Louis la Vache at San Francisco Bay Daily Photo has a new meme called "Portes de Lundi."
It is such a delightful surprise to walk down a street and come across such beautiful handiwork. I am not sure if this is ironwork or woodwork but the pattern is so delicate it looks like lace...and of course beautiful rouge to boot!
Tres, tres belle !! Definitely worthy of a double tres Virginia.
ReplyDeleteI am curious what's inside ...
ReplyDeleteCould Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec be behind this door?
ReplyDeleteLovely burnt shade. Lovely design. But .. what is that dodgey white 'thing' - a handle? Surely not!!
ReplyDeleteAnd that is the only way to grow bamboo!
Julie, I can't make out what it is either. THis is when I wish I were better in Photoshop! HA
ReplyDeleteJoe, peut-être!
Perth, Merci merci!
Wong, moi aussi.
You and red: a perfect combination.
ReplyDeleteThe grille is so lovely, that is it red is a bonus
ReplyDeleteA beautiful find!
ReplyDeleteThe dodgey white 'thing' is indeed a handle, except that it's not really white. It's most likely aluminum.
