Wonderful, appropriate shot for the weather here in Paris. I do not think that there was a person alive in Paris who was not out in a park or waterside or cafe somewhere yesterday.
To Julie, Marie and I noticed the "boxwood" rather than palms around Paris as well. That was our guess based on the woody stems.
This just proves it! I was born in the wrong country!! Yes the photo is best in colour..her bag and shoes..that hint of brown! They are all so put together!
Great shot, V! The bag and blanket definitely called for color. This looks like a pretty good spot to spend (or mis-spend) a sunny chunk of your youth—I know it was for me! :~}
I'm glad you left this au naturel. B+W wouldn't have been right. It looks like "The Scene" for 20s. The hot pink (magenta?) bag is a great focal point.
Great colour for the handbag, but it looks distressingly empty!!
ReplyDeleteV, could you have a look at my Palm SUnday post please? I am trying to identify what they are carrying instead of palms.

What? You snuck over to Paris and didn't tell us? This photo could have been taken yesterday .... Love the bright colors!
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful to talk to you ... Bisou, M
What a great shot! I love the way they are scattered so close to the river bank! Who could blame them?
ReplyDeleteIt's great in colour, V. If I had a big tote, I wonder if I'd be tempted to plump it up with a little newspaper.
ReplyDeleteA perfect place to enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
Léia
Looks so lovely - wish I was there. x
ReplyDeleteI guess that's where all the "cool kids" hang out!
ReplyDeleteHer PINK bag really does stand out!

ReplyDeleteLeif,

Glad you decided on color for this one. Love the color of the cobblestones, the water, and the splashes of color provided by those enjoying the day.
ReplyDeleteNice spot to congregate for lunch!!! Though I don't think I'd want to go back to work!!!

ReplyDeleteWhy didn't you also put Genie (15/4) and the St. Séverin flower (17/4) under "rouge"? :-)
ReplyDeletePeter,
ReplyDeleteOK M. Smarty Pants....I thought they had too much PINK! HA
BTW, I've been encouraged to make a Paris Rouge book on BLURB. Maybe I will~!
definitely worth giving up the black and white for this purse !
ReplyDeleteWe attended a picnic on the Square du Vert-Galant. Right there on the point of Île de la Cité. http://tiny.cc/xj2k1
