Paris Rouge XLVIII - Le Sac à Main

What better way to spend a warm afternoon along the Seine. I toyed with black and white, but her great handbag was too good to pass up.

  1. Great colour for the handbag, but it looks distressingly empty!!

    V, could you have a look at my Palm SUnday post please? I am trying to identify what they are carrying instead of palms.

  2. Wonderful, appropriate shot for the weather here in Paris. I do not think that there was a person alive in Paris who was not out in a park or waterside or cafe somewhere yesterday.

    To Julie, Marie and I noticed the "boxwood" rather than palms around Paris as well. That was our guess based on the woody stems.

  5. It's great in colour, V. If I had a big tote, I wonder if I'd be tempted to plump it up with a little newspaper.

  11. Glad you decided on color for this one. Love the color of the cobblestones, the water, and the splashes of color provided by those enjoying the day.

  13. Great shot, V! The bag and blanket definitely called for color. This looks like a pretty good spot to spend (or mis-spend) a sunny chunk of your youth—I know it was for me! :~}

  14. Why didn't you also put Genie (15/4) and the St. Séverin flower (17/4) under "rouge"? :-)

  18. I'm glad you left this au naturel. B+W wouldn't have been right. It looks like "The Scene" for 20s. The hot pink (magenta?) bag is a great focal point.
