La Lune

A rainy day made way for a glorious sunset.  As night approached we were treated to this slice of moon over Paris.  Can't you just hear our ohhs and aahhs!!  My thanks to Mary with the keen eye, for spotting it.

  1. I am imagining stylish people are eating wonderful food and clinking glasses of robust red, listening to atmospheric music in the rooms with lights on. aaahhh.

  2. Yessss! The multiple chimney pots make the shot as much as the moon does.

Loved yesterday's "tour eiffel dans le brouillard" too.

  3. Not only the moon, but the terrific light on the building and all those little chimney pots combine to make this a super photo!

  10. Daryl,
Actually Mar brought a camera along and we were caught elbowing each other and Peter out of the way to get the best shots! HA

  12. I noticed something in this picture that I notice every time I'm in the city, there are very few lights on in the buildings. Surely they can't ALL be in bed that early?

  14. Hi Virginia,

My name's Alex, and I'm a 22-year old newly minted college graduate who studied -- you guessed it -- French.

I've loved your blog for some time now, but I felt absolutely compelled to comment on this photo: Mansard roofs and pretty skies. My favorite parts of Paris, c'est sûr!

Merci beaucoup for all the beautiful pictures,
    Alex
