...let me count the calories! Since 1730 this iconic Paris patisserie has been tempting Parisians and tourists alik . Want to guess who won't gain a kilo ? :)
1731 ~ is that the number of calories in one slice? Seriously though, it still amazes me to read of shops and businesses that have been operating for centuries. They are doing something right!
I've tried pain au chocolat all over Paris and I still say Stohrer makes the best ones. (Just to make sure, I ate 15 of them on my last 3-week trip, as well as a few from other places, and yep, Stohrer win.)

ReplyDeleteWell, if you don't eat it every day... I would rather spend my calories here than on the mundane chocolate. These pastries are so worth it!
ReplyDeleteMoi .. because I have willpower and I am not going to be in Paris til next year .. sometime .. sigh
ReplyDeleteIt's always been my understanding that there are no calories in pastries eaten while traveling...
ReplyDeleteAt least we're able to appreciate your picture and we won't gain an ounce!
ReplyDeleteI'm tempted, I'm tempted ... glad it's only a photo or my diet would be shot!
ReplyDeleteLooking thru the window is so delectable - food fit for a King!

Luckily, my metabolism is so good, I can eat anything I want.

ReplyDeleteWe don't count the calories when it comes to chocolate as we love it.
