Hi Virginia, You move along so rapidly here, I've had a crazy week at work, now I'm catching up on what I've been missing...
You were having fun that's clear, and we know how little you like the Place des Vosges, we had to really twist your arm to go there the last time...
BTW, did you see the story in the news about all the squatters who got evicted from a Place de Vosges apartment they'd been squatting and destroying ? Fairly recent news... And the owner who had them thrown out was portrayed by some as a heartless, unfeeling big meany for putting them back out on the streets. Unbelievable. They had totally trashed the place. It will cost the owner a fortune to restore it.
Anyway, just saw where you said you might be back over in January ? With Mary ? And would like to visit a cemetery or two ? Hey, that's great ! Do keep me posted on your plans, that's not so far away...
In the meanwhile, there are crêpes on the menu today, if you have a moment, they are from a place I believe I recall you posted about also a while back... Buttes Chaumont...
Owen, Oui avec Mary!!! We will ring you up dear friend. That's for sure. Now off to see your post. Buttes Chuamont. Is that where Peter took me in the summer of 2009? What a charming, quiet place. I loved it. Now to see yours. BTW, Nutella crêpes will be eaten this time. V
Wonderful shot! I love that you focused on the tray and left the waiter in bokeh...nice effect!!!
ReplyDeleteCette photo a beaucoup de charme, je trouve.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, V! I love the soft colors and it looks almost like an oil painting.
ReplyDeleteEt voila! The tray is still there! Fun photo. Bon weekend, Virginia.

ReplyDeleteI like it. A lot. I want you to know I'm finally wealthy enough to buy one of your calendars. I'll have Paris in my office.
ReplyDeleteOh my! One must never call a waiter "garçon".
ReplyDeleteWEll Starman I don't call them that but I GOOGLED waiter in French and that's what I got.
ReplyDeleteHiker,

Thanks everyone. I realize it's a bit "artsy fartsy" or something but I thought I'd run it up the flagpole and see if anyone would salute! HA
