I don't know about you, but this just didn't seem right to me. Mojitos and Ice Tea are to be enjoyed back home, not in Paris. What do you think? Of course, bring on the glace et sorbet!!!
I'd be so glad to be in Paris, I doubt Mojitos and Ice Tea would perturb me. That said, I also doubt I'd choose either one over glace et sorbet. I love those chairs in the background.
Well, my immediate answer to what's wrong with this picture is that I'm not in it! I realize they're catering to the visitors, but when in Paris iced(!) tea is the last thing I'm likely to consume! And what's your Parisian beverage of choice, V?
I think what's very clearly wrong with this picture is that there is not one single glass of red wine visible in it anywhere... :-) Drinking iced tea after walking around Paris just won't do it...
Well, for some people Paris is home... and shouldn't it be "iced tea?" :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I was also going to ask about the "iced tea". Which in Europe means just one cube anyway, HA!
ReplyDeleteLiz
Oh but Virginia, it aint' real sweet tea like you have back home in Alabama.

ReplyDeletewcs,
ReplyDeleteHA, well you're right of course, it is home to a lot of lucky people. I guess It just irks me to see the "americanization" of Paris.
ninny,
Oui, un cube!
Anne,
Surely, surely it's not sweet like we have here!!
Shell,
Surely the most divine glace et sorbet I've ever tasted.
Alexa, surely you've guessed my beverage of choice...chamapagne et vin! :)
V
Virginia, I'll have some of what you are having, my dear.
ReplyDeleteYes, there is one ice cube in Paris but when there I really don't even think about it.
Maybe those are the flavors (tres exotique) of the sorbet. I would try.
ReplyDeleteJean,
ReplyDeleteWell you might have a point. I'm thinking mojito sorbet might be délicieux!
Genie,
You know what I'm having.
Looks about right to me.

Owen,
ReplyDeleteOf couse you're so right. Iced tea is for Alabama, a nice verre de vin is for Paris.....unless someone offers champagne! :)

Mojitos are very 'IN' in Europe at the moment.
ReplyDeleteMoi, je pense que l'on peut boire un Mojito ou un Ice tea à Paris! Pourquoi pas?
