I found this charming ( although now faceless) little man quite by accident. I looked up Leo and Pipo when I got home and found that it's two artists that paste these charming figures, from times gone by, around Paris. When I get back to Paris, I'm going to search out more of their work!

I love their choice of font, too ~ adds to the old world charm.
ReplyDeleteAha .. Paris's version of Banksy
ReplyDeleteWhat I like about the Leo & Pipa people is that they're life size—though I suppose it could be disconcerting to happen across them late at night.
ReplyDeleteJe ne connaissais pas Leo et Pipo! Maintenant, c'est fait!
ReplyDeleteI shall have my eyes peeled too ... although there is sooo much to be alert to ... I just want it to wash over me ... not there yet, but I already know that a week in Paris is not enough.
ReplyDeleteWEll I think some of there work may be life size but this little man was down near the sidewalk and I almost missed him. I love their work. I want to find more!!!!
ReplyDeleteI saw one of these on a building down the Champs Elysee, just past McDonalds, I did wonder what it was!
ReplyDeleteLeo et Pipo must be the parisian answer to London's 'Banksy'.
I'm wondering if this was Leo or Pipo who was decapitated!
ReplyDeleteParis Paul.
ReplyDeleteHA , I don't know but they're cute, oui?
