Derrière la Grille

I'm fairly certain that this little courtyard is in the small alleyway leading from the side door of the Église St. Paul in the Marais. ( And no, I didn't push this gate! )

  2. Like Brittany, I first focused on your red geraniums, but if you look carefully it almost appears that someone is peeking at you from behind the curtains.

    Nice shot, Virginia.

  3. Have to agree with Shell—better like this. I love the way the gate frames the whole charming scene.

  4. Love it -- the gate keeps the peaceful mystery of it confined.

  5. The "person" behind the curtains, doesn't really look like a person.

  6. Not to be picky but isnt back door porte arrière? Oops my bad you wrote rear door ... love the composition here .. the contrasts work so well

  7. Encore une jolie petite cour cachée! La grille semble fermée à clé! J'aime le pot de fleurs !

  8. Daryl and all,
Aidez moi. I meant Behind the Gate. Google gave me derriere which I'm thinking isn't the correct "behind"! Is there a better word? I've chenged mistakes on BADP all morning, I'm happy to correct this as well.
