It seems to me that almost every building in Paris has some wonderful detail that catches the eye. I liked this face and the pretty lantern hanging below it.
This is why the old European cities are so special, and Paris is special among them: beauty is at every turn, not because people will pay for it but for its own sake.
Oh, this really is a stunner, Virginia. There's much to be said for ageing gracefully.
