My last trip I had a great little studio apartment on rue de la Cerisaie, just a few blocks from Place de la Bastille in the Marais. It was on the ground floor and my windows opened onto this sweet little courtyard. I share these nice memories with you today.

ReplyDeleteMay you have many more trips back to the City of Light, you have clearly been bitten by the Paris bug... (the Paris bug lives in the cracks between stones in courtyards like this all over the city, once bitten, the outcome is usually terminal... terminal affection for Paris !)

ReplyDeleteI was a dear little place. The hallway from the main door to my door was pretty "rough" but once inside the apt. was cute as could be. I loved opening the windows in by the kitchen table and seeing this every morning!

ReplyDeleteI sooooo wanna experience Paris! I've never been,and yet I feel a kinship to it, because I've read so many stories, novels, etc. set in Paris. Ernest Hemingway,and F. Scott Fitzgerald have given me "the bug"!!

Adorable courtyards like this are just another thing that makes Paris so special. Wonderful that this was "your" courtyard while you were last in Paris. (FYI, my countdown to Paris has just started -- 2 weeks and a day!)
