Seldom have I crossed the beautiful courtyard of the old
Hôtel de Sully, now the
Centre des Monuments Nationaux, at the Place des Vosges and not seen young people sitting in these doorways have a quiet chat. I thought this young couple especially charming.
What a great scene and a wonderful doorway too. When I look at your pictures I get a feeling sort of like the one I used to get when I was a kid looking at a Christmas catalog and counting down the days to Christmas. 83 days to go!
ReplyDeleteJ'aime paris! :)
A lovely shot of Paris life, Virginia.
ReplyDeleteDream life! Romance in Paris :)
ReplyDeleteVirginia, the courtyard is beautiful but you captured the human detail in this sweet couple.
ReplyDeleteOui, absolument charmant. The atmosphere is just perfect
ReplyDeleteVirg, you really captured the moment!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like there should be an advertisement for something in the space above them. Something like, "with Cologne d'Amour, she won't be able to take her eyes off you."
ReplyDeleteCharming indeed and perfection in monochrome

They only have eyes for each other (and are clearly oblivious to your camera, V). The whole composition is special.
ReplyDeleteNow, if we could just hear what they were saying...

thanks everyone. I love this kind of photo that I only seem to discover in Paris. It's a photographer's dream as you all know.
