Arches

I spent a lot of time at the Place des Vosges this last trip. My flat was just a few blocks away. I was able to stroll late in the day when the shadows were just perfect. Even the pigeon posed at just the right moment!

  1. Yes, I sent that pigeon a message especially for you, V. I'm happy to see he behaved. So lovely!

  4. Obviously not a picture taken on the Fete de la Musique day when these arcardes were overcrowded. I was there thinking I could meet you "par hasard"

  5. Oh Laurent, I would have loved that! I was on St. Paul that very afternoon. Did you hear the drummers on the steps of the church? Deafening but fun to watch!

  6. What wonderful textures, Virginia. As I remember, the temperature was just perfect! Laurent, I wish that I had been able to meet you while I was there as well -- next time!

  11. Perfect, V! Love this place (or rather, Place). :~}
    Am imagining that this is a nice French family and their pet pigeon heading home from the marché.

  12. Oui, I think that little girl was dancing pour moi. This might have been the afternoon I heard the singer close by. Maybe this petite jeune fille heard him as well! Definitely a French family hauling the groceries home. How divine that they lived close by to this wonderful place.
