Afternoon Sun , the Palais Royal

I took this photograph late one afternoon at the Palais Royal. You can glimpse Musée du Louvre at the end of the street. This was just a few days before I had to say au revoir to Paris last July. Il était trés difficile. Scenes like this remind me of all the things I love in Paris. You understand, don't you!

  2. Clearly different light, compared with the preceding winter photo. Today is April and sun! (Sorry, I shouldn't say that... it will make you crazy! Sorry!) :-)

  3. Fabulous light, Virginia, and I am such a glutton for the vanishing-point perspective. :)

  4. Laurent,
    Sooner than you think! :)

    Peter,
Oui, it made me even "crazier". Soon you will be too! HA

    Ginnie,
The Louvre at the end was a nice surprise pour moi.

  6. These little arcades are the exact thing I love about Paris the most. I think that's the Louvre entrance I used last time I was there.

  8. Do I understand? You have no idea. (Actually, you probably do!) It's so clear from your shots how much you love Paris, but you seem to have a special place in your heart for the Palais Royal.

  9. I totally understand Virginia. I can see that you where standing right by La Comédie Françaises on your left and rue de Richelieu on your right when you took this picture. We are kindred spirits when it comes to Paris.

  10. James, I wish I could gather all my "Paris kindred spirits " with me all at the same time. What a wonderful time we would have mon ami!
