I'm glad you found it, too!! I wouldn't want to catch a train at night on my ownsome, but I wonder if I'd feel differently about the Metro... or this stop, at least.
Peter, I don't recall any others. I think I shared a photo I took here from the stairway with you when you were doing the Midmonth theme! Got anything pour moi?? :)
Shell and Yvi, I've traveled by metro very late alone a few times and have never been frightened. There are usually people around. Maybe I've been lucky!
Louis, I took your advice and joined the Monochrome gang today.
Le Metro looks so good. The shapes of the lamps and the reflected light on the tile is beautiful. And the young woman is lovely - ah, Paris! Monochorme is all about lighting, isn't it? That's just starting to dawn on me.
I love the métro, but all that climbing is becoming a bit much for me. I wish they would install the escalators they've been promising for the past ten years or so.
Nice, nice...! I guess this is the only one with this kind of lampposts!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning,
ReplyDeletelovely photo...
I think, if I would be the woman, I would have to wait very scared at night alone there.
Greetings
Yvi
Good one for Monochrome Monday, Virginia!

ReplyDeleteStarman,
ReplyDeleteEach time I visit Paris, I regret not doing more excercising beforehand. Some of the stairs are killers. Abesses is the worst I think!
Tash,
It is all about the light and the contrasts. I've still a lot to learn myself.
Wow! I'm glad you found this! What a great photo! That woman looks a bit lonely, though.
ReplyDeleteRe: Ministry of Justice...yes, we went to St. Chappelle; I posted a photo of it previously on Paree...
Good find in the archives indeed, I love the way the lights positively glow.
ReplyDeleteProbably my fave Paris metro station—those lights!
