Joyeux Anniversaire- Paris Through My Lens!

Obelisk Place de la Concorde with the Ferris Wheel at Tuileries
November 2008

Well how did I let that slip by? Actually this blog was one year old on November 27th, but who's counting! Merci to all of you who encouraged me to create a blog soley for my Paris photographs way back then. Little did any of us know how many I would have to post by now! I never dreamed how much this blog would mean to me. Sharing my photos with you has meant that I get to take a little trip back to the city j'adore EVERY day!

Yesterday I read Eric's post, and he featured the fabulous Pont Alexander III with the glitzy holiday ferris wheel at Tuileries in the background. I went dashing to the archives. For this Christmas season, I will occasionally feature Christmas in Paris photos from last November's trip. My header will change as well! Joyeux Noël mes amis!!

  5. That tears it! I'm not going to be happy until I spend Christmas in Paris. I'd give anything if I could run away there right now -- Christmas is feeling like such a chore this year. Maybe next year...

  8. J'adore la photo aujourd'hui. And congratulations to you for your blog-anniversaire!

To know that someone else loves Paris the way that I do makes my heart sing. I love my "little visit" everyday through your blog.

  10. I will soon be taking my own Paris Christmas photos (they won't be anywhere near as good as yours). I haven't seen the Roue de Paris since 2001. I did take some pictures during the ride, but I had no idea what I was taking pictures of at the time.

  12. Your readers were right on the mark here, V... these Paris photos definitely needed their own forum, and what a spectacular, beautiful, and magical one it is.
I love this shot of the Tuileries ferris wheel, and am particularly in love with the version in your new header photo. Quite an emotional impact it has on me this holiday season.
    Thanks so much for sharing!
