Le Photographe - 100 French Strangers Challenge

French Stranger #43

In July when I spent the day in le Marais, I met this charming young Polish photographer on the streets, selling his photographs. Most of his work was shot in India and Tibet. It was one of those times when you wish you had a pocketful of Euros. If I had, I would have bought them all! I did purchase 5 of his small postcard size images. They are remarkable. I love this portrait and I'm not sure why I've held onto it so long and not shared it with all of you. Pardon!

  2. Oh, he's very beau. And what Daryl said -- he's obviously charmed as well.

  3. Hiker, Yes he was very beau! :)

    Daryl,
I regret I don't have his name. I can't read the signature on the photographs I purchased. I'm sending my daughter in search of him when she visits in November.

    Heleno,
    Merci

  4. There are so many hidden gems in the Marais, you spend most of a lifetime and not find all of them.

  5. I can see the appreciation on his face...from one kindred spirit to another. Lovely capture!

  6. DW,
Well I can tell you I appreciated his talent and his photographs immensely! What a nice young man he was. Sometimes I look at the portraits I make and am saddened that I can't keep up with them and their lives. I wish him well. And i have his photographs to remember him by.
