Paris Bleu - Part I

I can't help myself. The series BLEU has been in the making here in Paris for some time.
Today Part I. Oh but there will be more!

Rue de Bac

Stravinsky Fountain - Centre Pompidou
Niki de Saint Phalle/ Tinguely - artists

The Musee Marmottan Monet is an absolute MUST SEE in Paris. It houses the largest collection of Monet's work. We were not allowed to photograph inside so this is my contribution as a bleu photo!

Tile Floor - Charles de Gaulle Airport
( Did Matisse fly Air France?)

You might have noticed that my photos are larger now. Merci beaucoup Peter for so patiently fiddling with my laptop and showing my how to change the settings!!!

  2. Beautiful bleu etudes, Virginia. I love these studies of themes in Paris. I can think of a hundred I'd like to do! I did a red theme at my Paris blog, and also blue.

That floor at CDG is gorgeous - I love that shade of blue with brown and white.

    And the door!!

So glad you stopped for a visit at PD.

  4. Now I have Monet envy. I think the Japanese Garden (in tempera) at the Shades Cahaba Musee may be as close as I'll ever get. :) Have some fun for me, friend!

  6. Jan,
I wished for you a million times at that museum. There were some of his later paintings when his eyesight was failing that bordered on the abstract with bright vivid colors. Fabulous!

    Ming-
You're back! All settled in your new digs I saw on Facebook. Peter and I were talking about you just the other day. GOod to hear from you.

    Ruth,
I will have to visit your past posts and see your color series when I have the time this next week.

Oh Louis, you love it all! Let me know about what those signs say so I can look at BHV when I return to Paris in 2 weeks. I can't remember!

  7. All fabulous of course as are all your photographs but that first one I just adore. Gorgeous old door, that wrought iron work, the bikes, - well everything...

  11. I've been catching up; fantastic sets on the last posts! My favourite shots are 'Lunch with a view' and the 'Black Lemons'!
By the way, it seems the guard has fallen asleep, or was he just pretending to be, waiting for someone to break the rules? :-)))

  13. B,
Could I be "bleu" because I was leaving Paree?

  14. Rue de Bac bicycle is my favorite with it's door detail, bicycles, and weathered color.
