Today Peter and I visited the wonderful Musee Marmottan Monet. More on that on a later post. We walked from there to the
Bois de Boulogne. What an oasis on the periphery of Paris. Just a lovely place to stroll, row, picnic or enjoy the woods. Here's a link to
Peter's previous post. He has everything you'll want to know about this must see park. Merci Peter!
Superb composition with the boat shot, Virginia! Great geometry!
ReplyDeleteLouis email me again about the signs. I"ve forgotten. I'm definitely hitting BHV again.

How lovely; reminds me of the boathouse and cafe on the Yarra River in Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteSo romantic...;-)
ReplyDeleteVirginia, Beautiful spot - the building almost looks like it would be in Switzerland.
ReplyDeleteOh to be in Paris ...
ReplyDeleteLove the boats shot! Amazing colours!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you're ever going home again. Love that last shot.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing your photos and Peter's, I desperately want to see the Bois de Boulogne.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you made it to the Musee de Marmottan -- what a treasure.
I see you've strayed from red to it's cousin orange! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThe boat shot is of the restaurant Chalet des Iles on an island in the middle of Lac Inferieur. You take the shuttle boat shown in the photo to and from the restaurant. It is a very romantic spot for either lunch or dinner, with an outdoor terrace the best spot for dining.
ReplyDeleteLovely; looks like a fine place to get away without really getting away.
ReplyDeleteThe first one of the boats is one of my faves, i have to have a print of that one! Show us some more of water and sailboats!!!!-Kat
