Sunday Church Series - La Madeleine


This has to be one of the most exquisite altars in Paris.  This summer evening we readied for a beautiful choral concert as part of Fête de la Musique.  The accoustics in this enormous space were perfect.

    I haven't seen nearly so many altars as you have, so I'll take your word for it -- any other would need to be pretty spectacular to top this!

    Last time I wandered into this church there was a choral concert going on. You are so right about the acoustics—and this magnificent altar too.
