If I had to guess, I'd think this was a family visiting Paris. Dad was very focused on capturing his adorable family of four on the Buren columns. I didn't blame him a bit. In fact, I hung back and got a lot of shots myself. Their faces here show that they had grown a bit weary of the photo shoot. I can relate to that.

I found the Van Buren "columns" boring.
Superbe photo... Génial souvenir.

Love it in B&W! And the rainy sheen on the pavement adds looks wonderful!
Traveling Paris with four kids? He gets my vote for brave!
That's the only good use for those damned Buren columns: game aera for kids! Were they playing "à Chat perché?.." :o)
Perfect photo op—both Dad . . . and you!
Malyss and Star Man, as a photographer I have been fascinated with the possibilities for years. The first 3 or so visits they were closed off for renovation work. The took down the barriers the day we arrived in Jan. 2010 when it snowed. I lost my mind!!!
Ha! This is very funny. I can just imagine Clark Griswold lining the family up as the family members yawn and lose their attention.
I love this spot and the striped drums especially in the rain. Pappa may have to accept that when children don't want to be photographed it is time to point the camera in another direction.
