Meeps' Parisian cousin, spotted at the Cimetière des chiens. Located in the outskirts of Paris, if you have the time, it's a very interesting side trip!

Paris Jaune
This pool of water flows down from the outside of the Fondation Louis Vuitton to this lower level. Peter tried his best to talk someone, anyone in "charge", to allow us inside this area so I could get better photos but non. Regardless, I was happy with what I got through the glass walls. Merci Peter for always going the extra mile for my photography!
TODAY I HAPPILY JOIN JAMES' WEEKEND REFLECTIONS RIGHT HERE!

Chateau de Chantilly
Despite gray skies and some fog, our trip to Chateau de Chantilly with friends Anne and Owen Phillips was delightful. The Musée Condé has a magnificent collection of paintings. It's worth the trip just outside of Paris.

Le chien...
est très gentile, according to his loving human. He was the perfect gentleman throughout their long Parisian lunch at La Polidor.

Livres en liberté
Here in my hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, we have some charming little "book houses' on posts stationed around town. I love this free library concept. You share your gently read books and take another from a generous neighbor.
Last November during our walk from the center of Rueil-Malaison to the chateau, we came upon the French version. These former phone booths are now transformed into a lovely free library. Now I'm regretting I didn't do a little shopping!

Salut!
Something for everyone at the Marché aux Puces. This array of champagne corks made me stop, smile, and appreciate all the many flutes I've had in Paris with friends. Merci Peter Olson, for providing them!

Sunday Church Series - Saint-Étienne-du-Mont
This is one of my favorite churches in Paris, and that says a lot. If you're in Paris and visiting the Panthéon, take the time to walk behind to this beautiful church. Pay your respects to the remains of Saint Genevieve and take in the exquisite details here.

Les Gants
The French have a flair for displaying their wares most of the time. Here at the Marché aux Puces, this stall owner took a simpler approach. Those white gloves on the top brought back memories of my childhood!

View From Across the Pond
As most of my readers know by now, I arrived in Paris last November the morning after our presidential election. I snapped this photograph a few days later at a newsstand in Gare Lazare. I have held onto it for several reasons. Maybe I just was hoping for the best, didn't want to be political here or just couldn't really deal with it. Now, I feel is the time to share.

Le fumeur
This balcony at the Comédie-Française at Place Colette seems to be the favorite spot for a smoke break. Seems like I catch someone almost every trip.

Somewhere In The Marais
Most of the time, I do a fair job of taking archive shots so when I return home, I'll know where I was. I will have to admit for this lovely building, I've got nothing! I know it's in the Marais, but it's one of those photographs that truly don't remember taking. So for now, enjoy this pretty balcony with the lacy ironwork.
UPDATE! Thanks to my kind reader JPD, who left a comment, we all now know this is the Hôtel de Beauvais on Avenue François Miron in the Marais.

La famille
This sunny morning at the Palais Royal I walked up on this sweet family. I enjoyed watching the older two keep the soccer ball from little brother. He cried and fusses a bit, then Papa took over and he dried his tears and gave his best effort to finally get his tiny hands on the ball. Life in Paris.

Pont des Arts
I love this bridge. I love it more now that the city of Paris has removed the 45 tons of "love" locks to save it. Now with the new glass panels, you can actually see the Seine again!

La neige à Paris
For the four trips to Paris in January, only once, ONCE, was I lucky enough to experience a magical snowfall, January 2010. That morning held another delightful surprise. For the first time since I had visited Paris, the construction walls had been taken down overnight to reveal the newly restored Colonnes de Buren! I'm grateful for the wonderful memories of that morning walking through the Palais Royal with Mary.
